Current Employee - Senior Associate/Consultant
Very flexible and autonomy in working, no much supervisory, all employees are equal and thus easy communication, package is not bad considering the flexibility of work environment, no long working hours is experienced throughout the year.

EY has a people centered approach and works hard to maintain a culture of innovation and cohesion. It works employees very hard, but also trains and encourages them.

Current Employee - Manager
Since the culture is hierarchy based, Leadership is mostly not available to the lower rungs. Hence a great rapport with Leadership may really show the flavour of EY Partnership level Leadership is moslty professional and reasonable. Middle Management is shady and mostly premature and unqualified to handle Manager and Senior Manager level.

EY is a good firm that delivers value to Customers and treats employees well.

Good in the financial services risk management area but weak in digital, strategy, and innovation.

Former Employee - Principal/VP/Director
It is an up or out culture looking to hire the best and brightest hence the majority of the associates are always on the look out for an interesting position at another great company. Leave with a strong recommendation, then it is a great alumni association. If your asked to go, then your career will be tarnished.

Overall great firm but HR promises work-life balance which is not really possible.

EY has a reputable footprint/reputation. However, the dealings within the company is strongly unethical.

Flexibility and Opportunities for Personal Development

Current Employee - Principal/VP/Director
The culture used to be collaborative, but over the last five years there's been a shift to "sharp elbows" and only lip service to caring about employees.

It depends how much you want to sacrifice your personal life and time. If you want to be fully committed without any limits of working hours, you can find a place to see different things and work in several projects. If you are careful of your personal life this is not the place where you can have time for you

EY is great at preaching an amazing culture and workplace. In reality, it is not the case. Management is unethical/engages is politics to a great extent.

Former Employee - Principal/VP/Director
They try to be collaborative and inclusive. I enjoyed the team environment as a junior person there. It was very social. I didn't know anyone in the area and soon developed lasting friendships with my coworkers. As I became more senior, the job became more cutthroat. I felt like I was competing against other partners to win work rather than collaborating with them.
