Employee - Entry / Intern

It offers you the chance to interact with very interesting people. Good atmosphere too.

Employee - Entry / Intern

Everyone seems proud of working for such an institution, even on non-academic issues.

Employee - Entry / Intern

You will have the chance to learn.

Employee - Analyst / Associate / Consultant

It was quiet and less social than other places I've worked but full of smart and helpful people.

Employee - Entry / Intern

Caring environment and progressive treatment of employees

Employee - Director

Great people and very mentoring in terms of career growth

Employee - Director

Very supportive but hard working

Employee - Director

It is the pinnacle of higher education.

Employee - Manager / Senior Manager

The management culture it terrible

Employee - Manager / Senior Manager

Highly siloed, lots of mistrust. Lots of power struggles and confusing management.

Employee - Analyst / Associate / Consultant

Horrible work culture expects too much for very little salary

Employee - Analyst / Associate / Consultant

Lots of unsatisfactory staff members due to work overload and lesser salary

Employee - Manager / Senior Manager

Significant discrimination exists in Central Administration and there is no accountability. Environment rewards bullying behavior and punishes those with a moral compass. Not a healthy environment for those who value professional integrity. Money buys 'Veritas' in the Harvard world.

Employee - Manager / Senior Manager

Harvard has a culture of paranoia and bullying. Communication is very poor, team collaboration is not encouraged, bullying is common, and manipulation is the name is the game.

Employee - Manager / Senior Manager

There is a strict hierarchy. Stick to it. Don't think creatively, it will get you in trouble. The HR department is fairly unsympathetic and will not support employees. The Ombudsman's office has stacks of books in surviving bullying in the work place, but no one does anything to change the toxic work culture. Harvard does as it pleases because it is big and has deep pockets. It is an extremely unhealthy environment for anyone valuing integrity.

Employee - Analyst / Associate / Consultant

Looks great on the resume but extremely demanding work schedule with little benefits beyond prestige.

Employee - Analyst / Associate / Consultant

Cutthroat work culture.

Employee - Analyst / Associate / Consultant

Be ready to be put through a wringer, but in the end will help your professional growth by being able to get a better position. I would not consider this as a permanent place of work, but rather as "necessary evil" to my professional goal.
