Illume Advising has strategic leadership that I completely trust. I feel confident about where the company is headed and it's ability to thrive. Illume culture is very down to earth, despite a plethora of skilled talent from a variety of disciplines. The culture of positivity, team mentality, and good intentions is strong, and is a wonderful reprieve from some of the typical workplace culture that can become toxic. That includes a lack of toxic masculinity. Illume is by far the most functional culture I've worked for and does leadership right. Illume gives employees many branches to grow and diversify their skill set. Illume employees will pretty much do the whole gamete of research from intense quantitative analysis to ethnography. This keeps things fresh, and allows employees to keep building their skills. Illume also compensates their employees more than fairly. It is the first time I didn't feel like I had to fight tooth and nail for my value. In fact the first offer was already competitive, something I hadn't experienced prior. Aside from that Illume offers profit sharing and inflation raises, so employees don't have to request raises just to keep up with market increases. Illume is a wonderful culture to work for, with talented female leaders. If you do want to work for Illume, the only thing I would advise is make sure that you love research (or your skill set) and or energy. At times projects are about the latest technology for behavior change, and others are the ins and outs of an HVAC system. But if you have a passion for solving problems and using your skillsets, Illume offers an abundance of opportunities to learn, grow and flourish.
