Indra Business Consulting (formerly Europraxis) is the strategic consulting arm of the Spanish technological giant Indra. Indra bought Europraxis from their partners in 2003, and in 2013 they were rebranded as Indra Business Consulting. Before being rebranded, Europraxis was an important boutique player within the strategy niche, specially in countries such as Spain, France, Italy and Brazil, competing for top strategy projects with heavyweights such as McKinsey, BCG, Bain, Booz, etc. Unfortunately, Indra had always been linked to IT/Strategy as they were always known as a technological giant, and they wanted to align Europraxis more to that line of business. Moreover, in the last 5-6 years Europraxis suffered the departure of many key partners who did not agree with Indra's vision and clearly Europraxis lost some important intellectual capital along the way. Nowadays they are in the middle of intense restructuring, trying to redefine their path, but lack of communication and poorly managed talent have slowly affected Indra Business Consulting's ability to deliver results as a prime consulting firm. I left IBC six months ago because I decided to start my own business. It was a terrific place to work and learn the consulting ways, but it definitely is a 'dead-man walking' kind of firm as they keep losing key talent along all practices. The recovery does not look good at all.

Selling somewhat doubtful projects comes first, even at the expense of the client's best interests. If forced to deliver great results, they make it happen, they play really hard in that regard, but only after the client has complained several times. Lack of skills when staffing the projects and underestimating the resources needed to complete the projects successfully.

200 USD a day per diem when outside of base city, no need to present bills. Business class tickets for over 4 hours of flight. Possibility of getting free tickets for personal use in exchange for no flight back every weekend. For instance, only 1 flight back every 4 weeks in a 3 months project and then you could book a flight for personal vacations or days off for free.

A fading prime boutique player.
