Intuit is an insular place made up of leaders who love to protect their fiefdoms -- this company puts the "cult" in culture. If you did not grow up and come into leadership as a classmate of the current leaders, it is very, very, difficult to get your recommendations for change heard, let alone adopted. Ever heard of the term "Midwest Nice"? Folks will be nice to your face, and as you turn away they will drive the knife in very deep and convince others to join in on the fun. Second-rate, bush league approach will catch up to them as more nimble, talented competitors continue to scale and attract customers.

This place reminds me of high school in the worst way. Very clique oriented; boys club re: senior leadership; if you're not a member of the "in club" from day 1, it will be very difficult for you to join, integrate, and be accepted.

They claim their culture is a strength. They claim you can "bring your whole self to work." I say you may do so, but it will be at your own peril. Their culture is like a high school clique that pats itself on the back and tells itself how great it is. Don't buy it.
