you are just a number in thousands of employees they don't care about you

Employee - Associate

very gossipy and cliquish. The culture feels mostly like you cannot trust people and it's a boiler room where you have no work life balance and are underpaid for your efforts. they go cheap and cut corners in places that make employees life miserable.

Employee - Vice President

HR is non-existent and lied upfront. Too much concern for their own titles and egos. No respect for the individual.

Employee - Vice President

Sad. Low morale. Colleagues there for many years feel 'stuck' and many are unhappy. There is NO respect for the individual. HR s non-existent. Micro-managing seems to be a standard. If in order to keep an executive director role you must have six direct reports, don't be surprised to see those lists enhanced (with former employees).

Suggest a change in culture - no heart

Women were in some leadership positions but were not at the table when biz strategy was set - women expected to jump and serve when male leaders gave supreme orders

JP Morgan is very heartless - a sweatshop Production without quality

The bank is so big that there is no room for growth. People I had worked with there had been in the exact same position for 8 years and had yet to obtain a title of associate. Obviously, promotions are based on performance, but seeing someone pigeon holed like that is very concerning.

Working for this company was a stepping stone in my career. It looks good on a resume and you do obtain good exposure by working for the bank. However, they offer extremely limited benefits and salary for entry level to mid level employees and have high turn over rates because of this. Once you get to a VP or ED level, then you start to see good salaries and benefits.

The culture depends on the department you work in. Some of the people I worked with were a lot of fun to be around and we would organize things like happy hours. Others were a nightmare to deal with. I worked under a very intelligent and motivated ED, but I know many people who worked under ED's and MD's who had no business being that high up. Very big company, so it definitely depends on your department.

Senior management should be trained and evaluated. Unfortunately, there are a number of VPS and above that lack managerial skills or should be held to a higher standard.

Employee - Associate

That each group is separate and that my group lacks leadership, but can't speak for other groups.

Employee - Associate

In my current group the culture is terrible. Information is not shared from top down.

Employee - Analyst

Needs honest concern and respect for the average employee.

Employee - Analyst

Management CAN NOT be trusted.

Employee - Analyst

A culture that is self centered, cutthroat.

Employee - Associate

Needs to chang the way employees are treated. Big bank and no one cares they just replace employees and roll on.

Employee - Associate

I took the job hoping to move within the company. With good reviews and top 25% production I still was unable to even get a return phone call on applications I filled out for open positions.

Employee - Associate

Culture is 1% of the employees make 99% of the income they tell you about in the interview. Everyone else is led on a leaderless journey to make their way thru a mess to try and make a living.

Employee - Associate

Management philosophy and expectations from New York managers is unacceptable.
