Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
Company is cutthroat and does not value the employees. They hire you for a project and if they loose it, they lay you off. They are not loyal to the work employees perform and they use you till they don't need you any longer, The environment is the white old boy environment and they pass the good positions to each other.
Employee - Director
There was an oppressive work culture.
Employee - Analyst / Associate
It's a good place to work if you are working for one of the business units and you are some type of engineer. however, if you are a corporate employee working at one of the BU sites, you are at a disadvantage in both exposure and supoort
Employee - Analyst / Associate
Overall, culture was very old school. You have many senior leaders that have been her for decades and are used to doing things a certain way/their way. it's hard to crack the inner circle and there is a lot of office politics
Employee - Analyst / Associate
Lots of office politics and not only do you have to be skilled to succeed, but you have to know the right people to get visibility
Employee - Assistant / Coordinator
I'd change the policy of promoting women on looks. Diversity is skewed and carefully selectively applied to white good looking full figure women and white gays/ lesbians only. Company hardly has black, Spanish or other managers/ directors.
Employee - Assistant / Coordinator
Subtle racism exists openly- impacting on how projects get allotted, who gets the awards (same person can get the awards in a year).
Employee - Assistant / Coordinator
The company has carved its name due to strong product and that is the only reason for having its name but nothing else is good
Employee - Analyst / Associate
Should allow people to be creative and move out of swim lane to provide client service vs handing off to another dept just because of title. People have knowledge in lots of areas allow them to be diverse
Employee - Analyst / Associate
They are currently running off all the talent to bring in younger engineers at lower salaries. It will eventually bite them real bad. It is also doing a large disservice to our countries military readiness.
Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
I would ensure that LM embraces diversity in their practices. Currently they present a good facade, but the proof is in their actions which are VERY discriminatory.
Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
Good old boy's network was the company culture.
Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
Leadership was more interested in the contract then developing and growing their employees. Even though my directors were two women they tended to favor and promote males with less experience than females. It was very disheartening to see as a woman.
Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
The culture is very old fashion. No real interest in developing people - only filling positions. In the group I managed - which was 5. Total - the turn over rate was high. Some employees including myself- stayed in their positions just over one year.
Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
They need to learn to develop employees. They also need to transition to a more modern business model including flex time and tele commuting.
Employee - Director
Political climate is comething I would've changed while working at Lockheed.
Employee - Director
Highly politicised work culture.
Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
I'd change the politics, bureaucracy, entitlement persona, arrogance, etc. It is a horrible environment to work in and inequality is all I would say about this environment. It is a hostile and toxic in most parts of the company. Ethics is always on a witch hunt to nail innocent people just to justify their jobs. Opportunities for grow does not exist unless you know someone, or do them favors. The company needs new blood and new leadership in many parts of the company. The infighting is incredible from business areas to business area, and business unit to business unit. This company DOES NOT deserve any such type of award. Period!!!

Culture needs adjustement due to politics, bureaucracy, entitlement persona, arrogance, etc. It is a horrible environment to work in and inequality is all I would say about this environment. The infighting is incredible from business areas to business area, and business unit to business unit. No one smiles in the company, no one says hello, good morning, how are you... As an upbeat, happy person, it was killing every grain of my being. I hated it and if you truly ask anyone that is not in a leadership role making very large bonuses with no transparency to what they actually deliver as value to LMC, it is truly a joke. People are miserable there because it is toxic and hostile!
Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
Only because the name of Lockheed is so well respected. If you are an outsider, you would never believe how truly corrupt the internal environment truly is on a day to day basis.
