While I thrived there, I was directly reporting to the CEO/Owner Steven Bowen who is insane, literally. I was directly recruited by him to develop and scale a new division. They don't pay people the commissions they owe them. Bowen is a homophobe in one of the most progressive smart economy states in the U.S. The most anti-diversity company I've ever seen. They are criminals, really; it is known throughout the industry that they are abusive, their culture is hostile and Bowen has serious mental issues. But no one is taking them on. Why? They rev up the PR machine to make themselves look good but it is catching up.

Horrible. Abusive and hostile. Criminal behavior in not paying contracts to employees on commission. Rumors of false billing to clients. Average senior leader lasts less than 2 years. Some great people in the operations consulting space have briefly worked there and all of them know had bad it is. Do a survey on those folks and get the truth out. BTW: I'm not bitter - I was a highly-accomplished leader who scaled a new unit in 2.5 years and walked away with a great success story. But coping took a toll on my health.

Not really - many know what really goes on there. But they have grown and look very successful on the outside. They're now around $60M. I helped double their sales and have a whole portfolio of demonstrated results to sell - but it was all me and my efforts. Bowen fought me every inch of the way but it made his business the better firm it is today. He is just the biggest prick I have ever worked for - evil - and I've been a management consultant for 30 years!

Mixed answer. Largely yes, because they are interested in professional development and do a very good job of communicating with the organization. Most everyone is very respectful and they are a great fun group to work with. The negative is largely directed at a very small number of key leaders who are known within the organization as who overcommit to the client then brow beat the staff when their promises are not fulfilled.
Employee - Senior Associate/Consultant
Very knowledgeable and well positioned in key industries.

Quarterly meeting were very well organized and included a range of professional development along with team building activities which were top notch.
Employee - Senior Associate/Consultant
They worked hard at being an inclusive sort of firm. Through communications and direct involvement, especially in the quarterly meetings mentioned earlier. There was a very strong and highly experienced leadership team with deep vertical experience. There are a couple of leaders who are well thought of by the owner, but at the point of delivery are at times counterproductive. The methodology they use that creates a stage gated approach is very good, but at times the effort to support this process detracts from the delivery process.

I'm pleased to have worked for Maine Pointe, but it's not clear to me what their overall reputation is in the marketplace.

Strong professional consulting company that proves it provides results
Employee - Associate/Consultant
Far too focused on the company making money versus serving the client need. Treat client with little respect and employees/staff with even less. The attitude of "knowing more than the client" is pervasive in every aspect of their business model and practice.
Employee - Associate/Consultant
Yet another SIS, churn-and-burn consultancy.
Employee - Principal/VP/Director
Mom and pop shop at its best.
