Employee - Analyst / Associate / Consultant

Firm is innovative, invests for new opportunities, respects individual ideas, empowers teams to implement

Employee - Vice President (VP, SVP, EVP, etc.)

Under the current CEO, the company has had 8 years of annual layoffs and no growth. The layoffs occur often more than once each year and the no growth was only sustained by selling assets to buy companies. The strategic vision of 8 years ago was out of date shortly after it was released. But, the CEO will not change the strategy. The culture is negative. Benefits and pay continue to erode. Morale is low from top to bottom. The common comment is "this is no longer the Parsons we knew".

Projects end and many employees are constantly laid off. The company doesn't achieve its numbers and layoffs occur annually--often 2 or 3 layoffs in a year. One such layoff in 2016 hit 20% of the employees. People are seen and treated as commodities in most organizations in the company and, especially, by senior management.

The last 8 years have been a tough time for the company. Reorganization continue to occur, but the company isn't able to pull out of its mediocre performance compared to peers. The outlook is not good for the future. It's the smallest of the big companies without the benefits of the big companies--economies of scale, defensible niches, intellectual property, strong management, innovation, financial strength, etc.
