Employee - Director
If you are a business person / Entrepreneur, you will waste your time and be worn out by processes and Corporate politics.
Employee - Director
Monoculture = proctoids. According to leading executive search firms, more than 80% of them fail in their first role outside of the company, as they only recruit their colleagues to form colonies, and operate by the books and processes of P&G
Employee - Director
P&G is focussed on processes versus results, ruled by a myriad of centers of excellence and HR policies. Worst place to be for intrapreneurs.
Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
Peers were great but leadership was poor
Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
The IT organization is out of touch with the needs of the company. They do not reward doing what is right for the company
Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
When I had joined P&G, It used to be a fabulous training ground for marketers - their focus on learning & developing employees, and also giving an opportunity to work on big projects was great. It also used to be very well respected and the work experience in P&G used to be a "Big Cheque you can cash out" in other companies. However, by 2014, I found that their modus operandi got reduced to "Painting By the Numbers" - there was no "Heart" left in work being done, it was all a bit mechanical and process driven. I believe this is what has led to their falling behind key competitors on innovations and marketing.
Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
Great professional career development.
Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
You will work with the most talented professional on earth.
Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
Stay at least 5 years (equivalent to an MBA) and if you leave there is a slim to no chance they will rehire you.
Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
Whats Good: Very open & inclusive culture. One of the few companies where HR genuinely seems to care about employee welfare. Also, generally bright and "good"people working there. Whats Bad: Given its "promote from within" philosophy, there is a huge amount of "Group Think" and inbreeding of ideas. This can lead to non-acceptance of new ways of working, getting stuck in the "proper" process rather than focusing on results. I also saw examples of the "Peter Principle" - whereby people got promoted to senior levels based on previous performance but they weren't able to perform well in the more senior role.
Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
P&G used to be a great company to work for. Now it unfortunately rife with strife and internal politics. They no longer reward hard work & ethics, its more about "Who you know" - whereby the "Old timers" invariably get ahead.
Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
Overall P&G it's a good company to learn and develop a series of hard and soft skills that will allow people to suceed in a competitive environment.
Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
Inclusive in all the aspects, respectful of the employees, promotes the competitiveness but in a healthy way to grow.
Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
The development and skills they provide to their employees are the best things you'll get from working at P&G.
