Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
The hiring process is very long. Would change that if given the chance.
Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
I worked at Red Hat in their infancy. I worked there when the systems were being created. I would change the communication with upper management and HR. During the time I was there, the practices, and policies were in process of being designed. Additionally, keeping Baby Boomers on Staff to provide some needed guidance and wisdom. Provide reverse mentoring with the Gen X, Gen Y and Millennials.
Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
In its early years, it was fun, demanding, and creating the systems and solutions that put Red Hat on the map! They had a tall task up against Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, Dell, and other significant technology players. Being a Red Hatter was drinking the kool-aide -and the energy was excellent to succeed.
Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
I was able to create a very progressive training program, a sales certification program and a sales simulation program for each product/solution line.
Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
The people team leadership group has lost touch; the stewards of culture do not practice meritocracy and true open source way, not even on its best day.
Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
You will have fun and be showered with great office amenities if you work in Raleigh.
Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
Is a company that has lots of energy, fun, most teams/departments are collaborative and the best idea wins. This does not apply to the people team.
Employee - Analyst / Associate
I suggest an increased emphasis on channels and partners as routes to market. Extend the concepts of open source to the direct sales teams.
Employee - Analyst / Associate
Great reputation, very different type of company to work for - only open source software company to exceed $2B in annual revenue, growing at ~15% per year (next largest open source company is ~$200M)
Employee - Analyst / Associate
Tenets of open source prevalent through development/engineering and senior management. Everyone is encouraged to share opinions, and "the best idea wins" is a core component.
Employee - Director
Pay doesn't keep up with high tech. Poor management
