Culture is based on four core values: team spirit, innovations, responsibility and commitment.

Senior management could be more open to new ideas. Decision making can be less Paris centric.

Employee - Managing Director
Production driven, individualistic and product centric
Employee - Senior Vice President
Very low pay, short staffing, poor advance opportunity, and no work life balance
Employee - Associate
It's a toxic culture, with questionable ethics, antiquated European bureaucracy, minimal bonus payments despite promised bonuses (basically breach of contract), and the individuals in the leveraged finance group are scumbags for the most part.

Most important thing to know is to not work here. You can make more money and be happier selling used cars honestly.
Employee - Associate
Toxic and painful to be in the office
Employee - Associate
Bureaucratic underperforming French bank with French culture even in the NYC office. Need I say more? Maybe don't promise X bonus and then pay zero - that would be a good start.

I sometimes think about taking Societe Generale off my resume, as I am so embarrassed to be associated by people with such low integrity. It is a culture of defrauding others to make a buck. Wouldn't trust them with my dry cleaning.
Employee - Associate
Company culture is very French and unbearable. Back stabbing managing directors who will throw out their mid level investment bankers in the middle of the night in order to avoid paying them their bonus. If you like to work for free, you should work here.
Employee - Vice President
I suggest the company to stop paying below mkt rate as you will keep losing talent to competitors
