I worked for Time Warner twice. The first time as a call center representative and the second time for the business department. As a call center rep I was attending college. I found the work environment fun and well structured. When I worked for the business department I was hired to do a financial reconciliation of a statewide account that had not been reconciled in seven years. What little data was available was collected and stored in a variety of ways. The director who was my supervisor had not well define the job description and was not even sure he wanted to be considered my supervisor until I sought another position within the organization. It was not a good experience.

Management doesn't know the reality of the sales job. They give unrealistic annual goals and expectations are loaded on the ones that provide the most business. The management takes accounts as they see fit.

When I worked for TW it was when the merger came and TW took over ATC Cable. It was a great time- stock splits, endless opportunity and a bright future. Sadly, that no longer exists.
