As a new member of the faculty, I was immediately faced with challenges in financial support for my primarily clinical role. As with many academic institutions, salary support is largely expected to be from research grants, and this was no exception. Unless one is prepared to support a significant portion of one's salary, it would be best to look elsewhere for clinical work.
