Ethical Leadership: Leading in Uncertain Times

Ethical Leadership: Leading in Uncertain Times

Humans are natural-born followers. So it’s important that those of us who are willing, step up and demonstrate strong ethical behaviour.

That said, what does it mean to lead in an uncertain period? As we move through this pandemic crisis, what ethical challenges are leaders facing, and how can they manage them most effectively?

Watch this online session delivered by Celia Moore, Professor of Organisational Behaviour at Imperial College Business School as we discuss:

  • Why morality matters in uncertain times
  • How we make others feel included in an age of polarization
  • Why leading ethically has become increasingly critical to organisational success.

About Presenter:

Celia Moore is Professor of Organisational Behaviour at Imperial College Business School. Prior to joining Imperial, she was on the faculty at Bocconi University in Milan and London Business School and a visiting scholar at Harvard Business School and a Fellow of the Edmond J. Safra Center for Ethics at Harvard University. She is currently an Academic Fellow of the Ethics and Compliance Initiative and sits on the UK’s Banking Standards Board Assessment Steering Committee.

Her teaching sits at the intersection of leadership and ethics, and she is particularly interested in supporting individuals to enact their moral agency responsibly. She has worked with several organizations on how to support more ethical behavior at work, including the Financial Conduct Authority (UK), the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (London, UK) etc. Celia’s research has been published in numerous journals and featured in the Financial Times, Wall Street Journal, Forbes, and Fast Company, as well as on NPR, the CBC, and the BBC.
