Everyday Leadership

March 3, 2022

Everyday Leadership

As we try to stay ahead of the ever-shifting norms of work during COVID, many of us are questioning the assumptions we hold about how to be leaders, managers, and colleagues. Dr. Heidi Brooks, who teaches the wildly popular class “Interpersonal Dynamics” at the Yale School of Management, studies, speaks, and consults with top companies on the subject of everyday leadership: the everyday micro-moments of impact that shape our lived experiences.

Our everyday actions today set our trajectory for tomorrow. Yet we are often unaware of the short - and longer - term impact of the ways that we lead and interact every day. In this interactive session, Dr. Brooks invites us to reflect around the changing nature of work, and the role we all can play in crafting spaces that we want to be a part of - places that foster excellence, unleash potential for a broad set of stakeholders, and have the ingredients to craft a good society. We look at simple everyday junctures and actions that can make a big difference in the way work and organizations impact our lived experience.

Dr. Brooks was inviting attendees to share stories from their leadership journey.
