Kelly M. Brown
Kelly M. Brown is founder of BSD Strategy Group, a people interaction design firm that helps law firms and other organizations implement strategies that bring people to embrace diversity, equity, and build inclusive workplace communities.
As a lawyer and former law firm executive, many times Kelly was the only person of color at the decision-making table. At the same time, she has experienced the power of inclusion and working together across differences to realize the benefits of diversity. As a person of mixed race, she had to learn to navigate the complexities of building bridges across differences, not only on business, but also on a personal level.
Kelly served as CofS to the Chair of a top 50 global law firm, launched and led that firm’s key client team program, and led DEI strategy efforts across multiple areas. She holds an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where she was a research fellow with the Mack Institute for Innovation Management. She also holds a J.D. from UC Berkeley School of Law, a B.A. in Ethnics Studies from UC Berkeley, and often says she feels that she is built to do the work she does.
Abby Greensfelder
Abby Greensfelder is the founder and CEO of Everywoman Studios, a full-service media company with a mission to tell female-focused, female-driven stories creating positive cultural impact. The company’s first feature documentary, LFG, which chronicles the U.S. Women National Soccer Team’s fight for equal pay, premiered at Tribeca in 2021 and is now streaming on HBOMax.
She is the co-founder of Half Yard Productions, an award-winning production company specializing in non-fiction series and documentaries, including the global hit franchise Say Yes to the Dress (TLC), fan favorite How the States Got Their Shapes (History) and the critically acclaimed The Last Alaskans (Discovery). Under her direction, Discovery launched many of the network’s signature programs, including Deadliest Catch, Dirty Jobs, MythBusters, and the award-winning Planet Earth. While at Discovery, she was named one of The Hollywood Reporter’s ‘Next Generation: 35 under 35’. Apart from this, Greensfelder and the Everywoman have other features including premium cult docuseries Apostate, directed by Academy Award-winner Eva Orner.
Greensfelder holds a bachelor’s degree from Yale University and an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. She serves on the board of the Alliance for Women in Media and is a limited partner at Rethink Impact.
