Is Free Trade Dead?

Is Free Trade Dead?

Covid and the war in Ukraine have sponsored a wave of populism. In the US, President Biden's "progressive" trade policy has resulted in the same protectionism as President Trump's "America First" approach.

Watch this virtual event, led by March Busch, Karl F. Landegger Professor of International Business Diplomacy at the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University, as he discusses the potential downfall of free trade.

You will also have a chance to learn some key takeaways:

• How COVID put the rules-based global economy to the test,

• why "ally-shoring" could wreck the World Trade Organization,

• as well as what businesses can do to better plan for Globalization 4.0
