The Battle for Talents: How to Get Them and How to Keep Them

The Battle for Talents: How to Get Them and How to Keep Them

Demographic trends have caused a dramatic shrinkage in the readily available talent pools in many parts of the world. The global pandemic has caused many employees to reassess their careers and their professional and personal priorities. As a result, they increasingly move between industries and sectors, switch into nontraditional types of employment taking on temporary, gig, or part-time roles, or start their own businesses. Despite fierce competition for talents, many companies continue to try to attract and retain their employees the same old ways.

Watch this seminar, led by Prof. Stefan Gröschl, Management Professor at ESSEC Business School, as he addresses the following questions:

• What are the context and dynamics that lead to the mismatch between companies’ talent demands and the talent supply pools?

• What is the future of work, and what are the changing definitions of talents and high potentials?

• What are alternative recruitment options to traditional labor pools?

• What are alternatives and best practices when it comes to selecting great employees?

• What are the job attributes that motivate talents beyond the usual compensation packages and career advancement perks?
